Happy New Year, friends!

And just like that, 2017 is here to stay. What a blessing to celebrate another year of life with our family and friends as well as hope to meet and bless new friends along the way. New memories to be made. New goals to be set! If you are reading this blog post and wondering who I am, allow me to briefly introduce myself. My name is Nilo Burke, and I am the owner and photographer of Nilo Burke Photography serving couples in Virginia, Washington D.C. as well as Maryland. I have been in business since 2010 and specialize in photographing weddings. As we begin a new year, I would like to pause and take a moment to share with you all the ways that I plan on making my clients’ experience with me a better one. A new year calls for new goals, so here we go:

Goal 1: Edit and print the Bridal Guide I’ve been working on for two years and share it with every new 2017 couple in order to help them plan for their engagement as well as wedding day celebration. 

Goal 2: Blog three times a week. 

Goal 3: Reach out and connect with my fellow photographer community in person as opposed to exclusively on social media. 

Goal 4: Create a Client Corner on my website where current and prospective clients can find answers to all of their questions related to their wedding day photography. 

Goal 5: Create dedicated weekends that I can spend with my family and 100% away from all electronics. 

Goal 6: Read Dave Ramsey’s money management books. 

Goal 7: Print family photos and hang them in every room of our home to celebrate the loved ones closest to my heart. 

Goal 8: Provide photo editing services to fellow photographers and take editing off their todo list. 

Goal 9: Host a Spring Styled shoot.

Goal 10: Submit my work to more online blogs.

Goal 11: Work diligently to improve service to my clients and make their wedding day the memorable one yet. 

Goal 12: This is a BIG one! Submit a real wedding to at least one magazine!
