My mother and father-in-law on their wedding day in 1975.
Friends,
I am in the business of wedding photography not to celebrate the wedding day, but because of the commitment of two people in love! That is what drew me to wedding photography at the very beginning of this journey. Sure, the flowers are gorgeous, the dress is dreamy, the company is warm and inviting, and all eyes are on the beautiful bride and the dashing groom, but the day ends and all that’s left is the promise that two people make to each other. THAT is what lasts forever. (So how does this relate to the above photograph? I am getting there. Come along with me…)
Often we see in styled shoot gorgeous young couples modeling to inspire other couples to plan their wedding day, and honestly, that is what I have planned for my Styled Shoot & Workshop on April 3rd, but when my father-in-law suggested that he and my mother-in-law be our Anniversary models for the styled shoot, I was FLOORED! In a good way! I almost jumped out of my seat and SO did my mother-in-law! It was a surprise to the both of us!!! What a wonderful idea! I immediately said YES and began planning the details with them.
This summer my father-in-law and mother-in-law will be celebrating their 41st wedding anniversary, and having them as our Anniversary models is not only going to be a lot of fun, but also an amazing reminder that at the end of the day we are here to celebrate marriages. All the incredible details and efforts that go into making the wedding day just perfect for the happy couple is, of course, very important, but as wedding photographers, videographers, planners, florists, bakers, caterers, etc., we know that ultimately we are celebrating the Happily Ever After of our couples.
We are celebrating marriage.
Signup today for this incredible Styled Shoot and Workshop that JUST got even more amazing!
Until next time, friends!
With Love,
Nilo
