This is me…

I’ve read many Friday introductions filled with fascinating information about people especially those with a small business, and I’ve been wanting to do one on myself, so here we go.

Hi folks,

I wanted to introduce myself to you on this “Friday Introductions” day. My name is Nilo Burke, and I love to photograph the natural beauty of the world around me. I am honored to photograph the couples and families that have come my way, and I look forward to many more amazing encounters. My small business began five years ago, and I’ve been growing every day in so many ways. It’s a to do what I do and do it freely. I have a wonderfully supportive husband and family who have lifted me up wherever my dreams want to take me. If you remember nothing else about me, remember these five facts:

1. I LOVE the Lord with all of my imperfect heart.

2. My family is my passion! I will move the world for the people I call my family because I know each one of them will do the same for me. That’s a bond that no one can break.

3. When I am in the zone and photographing a bride, I am humbled by the trust she puts in me to capture her beauty. I am honored to be standing in front of her. I am in love with her smile, and I cannot get enough of it.

4. At the end of a wedding, my face hurts because I am smiling the ENTIRE time! I can’t help it. All the joy around me forces me to smile!

5. I love to read. Yes, I am a slow reader. I will read every blog and every post that Jasmine or Katelyn post because I know I will grow professionally and personally by the end of the post. Besides blogs, I love to read old books. Even books I’ve read before. Just to be in the presence of the written word calms my every sense and draws me to it like a moth to a flame. If I had a superpower, it would be to read more and read fast.
