Dear bride,
Let’s talk about details! The detail shots of your wedding day to be exact.
As you are in the wedding planning mode, you are coming to learn just how many details go into planning your bid day. Whether you’ve been planning since before you got engaged to the man of your dreams, or you just began your wedding planning journey, you are learning that each detail is taking your precious time.
You are more than likely working on a variety of details such as the Save the Dates, invitations, jewelry, shoes, make up, hair, veil, dress, shoes, wedding bands, flowers, DJ, catering, tux for your groom and his men, dresses for your ladies and moms and grandmothers, music, seating charts, decorations, and a few other things. You are spending months planning this special day. I just have one piece of advice for you: plan enough time in the day for me, your photographer, to photograph it all for you!
Getting Ready:
If you want to see all the work you’ve put into your wedding day in photographs for years to come, you’ve got to give me enough time to photograph them. Give yourself enough time to get ready. While you are getting ready with your girls, I will be busy photographing your accessories, dresses, shoes, make up and hair experience, all the accessories you’ve carefully chosen to go into your hair, invitations (It would be wonderful if you can add me to your list of people to send invitations to so that I can bring a copy of your invites to the wedding with me-one less thing for you to remember to gather for photos.), perfume, rings, flowers, veil, and other special touches you’d like to remember from this portion of your day.
Ceremony and Reception:
When it comes to the reception and ceremony sites, please give me a small block of time to get to the site and photograph the wonderful details for you before your guests arrive. If your wedding is outside under a gorgeous trees and your ceremony site is decorated with flowers, lanterns, and silk bows, you’ll want to remember that site for years to come. If your ceremony is at your church decorated by your favorite florist and complete with candles, you’ll want to see those images later on when you tell your story to your children and grand children.
Your reception site is very important to photograph. The majority of your decorations will go into your reception venue. All the personal touches you’ve added to your center pieces, the details of each table placement, the calligrapher you hired to write the menu and drink specials, the personal touches you added to each name placement: you’ll want to look back on these memories and fall in love with your special day all over again. Give me time to photograph them for you. You simply owe it to yourself.
I promise you that you will love, love the result when you look back at your photos. The story of your day that I’ll be telling will be complete with details of your wedding day attire, to ceremony site, to the beautiful venue you’ve decorated just to your liking! I am here to answer any and all questions regarding photographing each portion of your wedding day. Let’s chat! Here are some details I’ve loved capturing over the years for my couples. I hope you love them just as much as I and my couples love them!
XO
